Mrs. Terry Jones has been a lifelong member at
Deep Run, and feels that her church experiences growing up there as a child have prepared
her to participate in the music program now. Being active at church from a young age she
formed many lifelong friends there and found an interest in music through all the
children's choirs along the way, Vacation Bible School, revivals, and adult choir as well.
While growing up she played the piano for her youth group, BTU, SS
opening assembly and revivals. She fills in as organist when
needed. One common element in all of these were her music
"mentors" who instilled in her the joy of Christian music--from gospel
hymns, quartets, hymn "sings", bible school choruses for parent's night,
and her very favorite of all --cantatas! These directors and musicians
have nurtured and encouraged her over the many years and through their
dedication created a desire to help continue the same caliber of music
she enjoyed at Deep Run since a young child. Terry is appreciative of
the opportunity to contribute to the DRBC music program. She and her
husband Mike Jones have raised 3 children at Deep Run and are blessed
with several gandchildren. |
